Fried Rice

Ingredients:

1. 1 table spoon oil.
2. 1 teaspoon corriander seeds
3. 1 cup rice.
4. 1 cup water
5. [optional]: some vegetables like cauliflour, carrots
6. [optional]: 1/2 onion cut in small pieces

Procedure:
1. Pour oil and put the corriander seeds and onions in a cooker and heat until corrinaders/onions gets a little dark.
2. Add rice to cooker.
3. Add water to cooker and close the lid.
4. Wait for 2 whistles.
5. After 2 whistles take off the cooker from the stove and wait until the pressure releases.

Delicious Pakoras

Serves: 8

Ingredients:

1. 2/3 cup Gram Flour (Besan)
2. 1/2 cup cold water.
3. 3/4 teaspoon salt
4. 3 cup vegetable oil
5. 2 green chillies
6. 1/4 onion
7. 1/2 potato
8. 2 teaspoon yogurt (optional)
9. 1 teaspoon coriander seeds (Dhania) (optional)
10. 1/4 teaspoon powdered cinnamon (dal chini) (optional)
11. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) (optional)


Procedure:

1. Mix Gram flour, water, yogurt, salt, corriander, cumin seeds and cinnamon
powder to form a not-very-thick paste.
2. Cut onions length-wise to get thin stripes of onions. Cut potatoes and chillies in
round shape.
3. Mix cut onions, chillies and potatoes with Gram Flour paste.
4. Take vegetable oil in a deep utensil (Kadhai) and heat it for 7-8 minutes until its
hot.
5. Just put a drop of paste in oil to make sure it is at right temperature. If not then
adjust the knob accordingly.
6. Drop the mixture by tablespoons into oil. Keep the tablespoon very close to oil
surface while dropping or else the oil may spill out.
7. Heat until pakoras turn brown.
8. Serve Hot with Ginger tea and Ketchup to add to the flavor.

Note: Besides, onions, potatoes and chillies you can also add cheese (paneer) and other things you can think of..
